Franklin County Courthouses

The Franklin County Courthouse in Arkansas boasts two historic buildings, one located in Ozark and the other in Charleston, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Ozark courthouse, built in 1904, features a two-story brick structure with a tower and was extensively damaged by fire in 1944, leading to a Classical Moderne style rebuild. In contrast, the Charleston courthouse, constructed in 1923, showcases a Classical Revival Style design. Both courthouses serve as active government buildings, handling various legal matters.
